I know this house on a very nice road near me. It has always intrigued me as it is obviously untouched but tatty. It is now for sale, and it is remarkable, especially the bath. It would be great if it could be preserved just as it is.

Lovely! Whilst it clearly needs work, lets hope it doesn't get ruined.......

I do love estate agent's bullsh*& though. It has a "gardener's WC" and "To the rear of the garden there is an opportunity to re-establish an abundant vegetable garden" - in other words it has an outside loo, and a jungle to tame before you can plant anything :lol:

Wow! The only bit of work that looked necessary to me was to clean up that bath, otherwise it looks ready to live in to me. Are the contents included?

I share owain's concern though and can sense a complete makeover in the pipeline.

It looks quite fantastic. I agree with FF, I would change very little or make them discrete enough that nothing would seem amiss.

Imagine for a second just how bad a modern kitchen would look in that house.

What it needs is a new stair runner, and then living in exactly as it is.
I guess from the photography that the agent knows that, why can't they say so.

I agree, the photography is really good.

You know, if my girlfriend went back to work (we had our first child 9 months ago) and we sold up everything, we might just be able to afford it!! We looked at another fantastic 5 bed Victorian Gothic semi in a rougher part of town, complete with extensive cellars, original bread oven, and 2 vintage Norton motorcycles but even that was vetoed

What a beautiful house! it made my heart flutter to see all the original features and furniture.Ooooooohhh! and the stairs .....I could go on and on. Its like time stood still.
I do hope it isn't turned into flats PP keep an eye out for a skip lorry pulling up outside the house :wink:
