Has anybody used non UK thatchers? Polish/German maybe.

Just be carefull and get references if you can and don't mention anythting if you don't feel well , some of these people also claim to be surgeons.

Some are very skilled and can be very usefull if they can integrate their knowledge with local application and tradition.

If you can communicate effectively with them and you are confident they can carry out the work to your satisfaction, then why not use them. Who knows they may even pass on their skills to a new generation of craftsmen
