Thatched grade 11 listed

AT LAST we have had an offer accepted for our latest purchase---- long haul, long story . In a nutshell, watch this space.

Thanks to archived PPUK postings I have been able to gain an insight into living with thatch. It will be a much better experience than living with PVC in our temporary accommodation!

Any advice about extending a typical chocolate box eyebrow thatched cottage would be gratefully received. Fortunately I have a good relationship with the CO for this area.

Will reveal more when exchange happens, just in case anything goes wrong!

So all those people who forked out for one of those plaques telling the world that theirs is a Listed Building may have to have the lead melted down and recast, and a certain 'club' ie business may also have to change its name...

Good luck with the purchase - you won't be a million miles away from our thatched cottage, complete with (pre-listing) extension. Looking forward to future posts!
