On Friday there was a flurry of messages posted on the forum, ending with one from Penners regarding soundproofing.
But since then there has been no activity at all.
Can someone please explain what's happening?

I went to the hospital this afternoon for a routine test. There were no cars to speak of on the road, and the car parks were almost empty.
It's been very quiet all day...

We had house guests over the weekend, but I did stop by the forum briefly and noticed it was exceptionally quiet here :wink:

Well on Saturday I went to a boxing class for the first time, with an antelope friend of mine. On Sunday my haunches, shoulders, fetlocks, and tummy ached so much I couldn't get up!

Worse than that, when I checked yesterday, a thread that I had commented on, on Friday morning, had disappeared!

I nearly posted something about establishing a date for a chimney - mostly red bricks smaller than metric bricks, inconsistent sizes, and English bond. Then I decided I was getting too excited about chimneys. I reckon it is the original probably from early 17C. Part of the house was around then but I don't know when it was built.

I shall post some photos once I've worked out the different build phases of the chimney and know what to take photos of. Everyone seems to have had a bash at it.
