Hello all. I have eventually got fed up with 3 annoying holly trees each around 8 ft tall at the back of one of my flower beds. I hate them, they make the soil dry, cut out light and when cut the leaves are difficult to pick up, so I chopped them down, along with 2 laurel bushes as I was in the mood last weekend. Now I need the stumps grinding out. I have a quote from a chap near me that has many good reviews online and seems polite and well spoken. He has quoted £175 for 7 stumps, which are 3 small hollys about 8" diameter each, a bigger holly, 2 laurels, and a larger yew stump of around 12". Also £60 to shred and remove the trees and bushed that I chopped and that is now piling up at the bottom of the garden. Does this seem an ok price? I think it seems fair but I have no prior experience to compare this to, so does anyone have any guidelines please??
