Love the comments on the discussion forum, how forthright and fascinating! The gap is so vast between English and American culture though, I always feel we're closer, culturally, to the Europeans, despite the language barrier.

I'm going to join that forum and ask what shade of gold frame I should put round my new watercolour, and what height the candlesticks should be that I put on top of the new Chinoiserie cabinet, and I now know there are some kind souls over the pond who will pit their wits to these troubling difficulties, and answer earnestly and at length. :lol:

For your information, Mrs P and I say that to each other habitually. The normal response is, "Gee whizz - Ah'm shore nuff gonna do sumthin to blow yer britches off!"
