Since our flooding, we've decided to leave exposed a few walls that were previously behind stud walls. I've nearly completed the raking out and repointing with lime and thanks to all the good info from this forum, I'm going to repoint the outside and install a zebcolm trench.
Once the non stone walls and ceilings have been plastered we'll be looking at decorating and the question has been raised about sealing the walls to stop dust etc. After a good chat with uncle google, I came across these two and wondered if anyone has had any experience with them:
Kingfisher Dust Sealer
Kingfisher Extreme Climate
Both claim to be breathable and usable for stone walls. The dust sealer will be used on some red brick walls in our lounge but could be useful on the stone walls and will likely enhance the effect of the ironstone. The external one looks like it could be really useful for the outside that is exposed to driving rain and currently we're getting moist patches on the newly exposed internal wall although that side does need repointing.
Thoughts would be appreciated
