Hmmm - I keep posting messages which vanish again! Is it just me or are others still having problems?
Thanks for that! I'm in the area soon and it's a place I've always intended to visit and never got round to - so hopefully I will be able to pay a real visit instead of a literary one.
The Lucy M Boston books were all set around the house - it's in reality 'Green Knowe'. Long time children's classic literature.
Long before the days of Harry Potter etc, but they have their own period chram, illustrations of the house, and are well worth seeking out.
Yes it definately seems worth a visit.
The two villages (Hemingford Grey and Abbots) look delightful too. I have heard alot about them, two pockets of real beauty in Cambs although I must say I like cambridgeshire as a county in general.
The Hemingfords annual river regatta is apparently the oldest and last of its kind in the country. Happens every July apparently, so might be worth a visit too!
