Had a mad moment on that well know internet auction site and bought a Victorian slate double drainer, unseen covered in paint, glue etc.
Two odd hours later it looks a lot better, green scorers, a little metal scorer and finally t-cut. Even 'the powers that be' are pleased, with the after look anyway so it will go in the kitchen.
Now to strip the upstands, they are lovely shades of blue.

I rescued a Belfast sink from the yard of the house next door (don't worry, I didn't nick it :shock: , my parents own the house). I discovered it while cutting back a lot of overgrown stuff around the wall. The original Belfast sink from my house was cracked and was taken out 20 years ago and replaced with a slightly more modern design. Now I'm trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to rearrange the scullery (or my "wee" kitchen as I tend to call it - my "big" kitchen is the cooking/dining area) so I can put the sink in and still have room for a drainer. I may have to resort to the Danish idea of having a portable drainer in a plastic basin that gets taken out and put away as and when required.

Now all I need is the sink to go under it. I think I spotted one in the garden though :lol:
