What a fantastic opportunity for an extended family home, complete with ready ready made 'adventure facilities' for the kids and all in a wonderful rural location. Yes, £1m is a lot of money but £250k isn't and the whole place could easily accommodate four friendly families.

No, I hadn't seen that story. Poor Sir George, doesn't seem to have much luck with his studios since he left EMI at Abbey Road. I recall his studio in Monserrat was destroyed by a hurricane many years ago, and the island itself later suffered from a volcanic eruption and was largely devastated, as I saw first hand on a helicopter trip from Antigua some years ago.

I say he doesn't have much luck with studios, but considering their output whilst in operation I'd say they've done their bit in contributing to his legendary status within the recording business.

As for this current difficulty, I note the people concerned have already spent £25k on reports and expect to spend another £25k pushing through their plans :shock: Proof, I think, of the theory of parallel universes.

Suddenly I remember. I went to this place for a weeks field trip when I was at school. I couldn't have cared less about the grand old building back then. The thing I remember most about that trip is one of my class mates doing a silhouette puppet show against the dorm wall with a torch and his private parts!!!

Gosh I never knew what the building was used for! It's just a stones throw from us, I go past it all the time. The basement phenomenon has been a growing problem, partly caused by stamp duty. People used to move to upsize, but with houses north of about 5mil it becomes cost effective to do the mole person thing and expand existing.
