skirting boards

Hi,

I have moved in to a regency property that has original 12 inch high skirting boards in the main room. I am looking for some simiolar skirting board for the other rooms. Does anyone know a good supplier in the south.

I seem to remember a similar question being raised in the not too distant past - a site search may well prove fruitful.
However, there are seldom if ever off-the-peg solutions to this problem, so either you will have to get some specially machined, or you could make up your own using wide planks + some suitable moulding (which is how it was often done in the past).

You may find that the boards are made up up of two or more separate pieces (my 14 inche shirtings have three separate components). A good joinery firm should be able to make some up for you.
