The Homebuyers survey commisioned by the potential buyer of of my 2+1 1900's terrace has refused to put a value on my property because of the two storey single skinned extension to the rear housing a downstairs bathroom with bedroom above. The downstairs walls are already lined with wooden panneliing. There is no damp problem or
structural movement. The extension was built long ago, as with may others in the same street.
The suggestion is that I must double-skinn the structire before another survey to reassess the value.
How do I go forward? Are there lenders who will tolerate the structure, given that it is in good order, and is already boaght with a mortgage?
