Hi - we have a Grade II listed cottage attached to a three-storey listed building with a difficult neighbour! We have a leak to our loft as the chimney needs to be re-rendered and defective lead flashings replaced. A surveyor has confirmed the need for the work. My question is do repairs to a shared chimney fall within the Party Wall Act. We are not changing anything, only renewing render and flashings. The survey has suggested it might fall within the Act, but we cannot give the required 2 months notice as the repairs are urgent. Jean
