Not everyone will understand your joy over a septic tank but I am quite sure that here on PPUKe we do. Wonderful news! I must say it's rather nice having private drainage and not having to think of your eliminations mingling with the common herd.

And having your own private pure water from a well, twice filtered, tasting divine, and knowing it isn't the recycled and urinous eliminations of the common herd, is even nicer.

Does Chateau Sonya have a well?

We've got a well here which gives us water with a huge manganese level but with a bit of ph lowering, filtering through some sand with potassium permanganate in it and then on through a UV filter it's lovely and it's passed by the donkeys.......... :shock:

Joce, you do make me chuckle. Chateau Sonya has a spring on the farmer's field behind us. We would like to buy the two acres behind us to ensure the house gets some of its land back as historically, all the surrounding land was with the house.

The water bill is lower than it would be as we are disposing of our own waste and surface water but I don't think that will ever cover the cost of the tank :?
