Sent box / Out box

Can anyone explain why there are half a dozen messages sitting in my Out box?
Does this mean that they haven't been sent?
And, if that is the case, why?

If I'm doing something wrong, I'd like to know what it is.

I suspect it means that those to whom you have intended to receive them have not as yet realised they have PM's and not opened them.

I'm not totally sure the system is entirely foolproof, however.

Messages stay in the outbox until the member they are addressed to logs in, then they leave your outbox and go to;
Your sent box
Their inbox.

It is pretty foolproof.

I wouldn't say never, but it is a straight foward system, so there isn't a lot to go wrong.
