Seeing dots and stripes - Rant!

I am somewhat incensed.
Today I took the usual Wednesday trip to B&Q with my Old Dear's Discount Card (using my Wrinklie's Bus Pass) in order to get some new work gloves, as one of the old ones seems to have left with the builders.
The only work gloves were for hands twice the size of mine so a pair of small size gardening gloves were taken to the check-out as being better than bare hands when working.
There, on a rack (where supermarkets used to put the sweeties) were some "Ladies' Rigger Gloves". Perfect - ?
Not really.
Why do B&Q think that people with small hands are all ladies? And - here I get really annoyed - why do they think that a female DIY-er, or a male with smaller hands, needs or wants work gloves with *tiger stripes or dots* on them?

I'm writing to B&Q to complain about this patronising attitude to small handed people.
What's worse, I even hesitated for a few seconds deciding whether I wanted stripes or dots. How could I !!!! GRRRRRRRRR! (yes, I got tiger striped ones)

Ohh, I can go far worse than that.

I used to do some contract work for them at their Head Office. Around 8 years ago, just at the time the Changing Rooms hype was at it's maximum, they brought in a range of "ladies" power tools for a promotion.

They were a lovely lilac colour, and especially designed for the smaller hands. They were lighter (and therefore less powerful) than the main ranges as well.

I'm with you on this one PM, finding a suitable pair of gloves that aren't 5 sizes too large isn't easy.
