Sealing / cleaning Flagstones

Hi,
I have recently purchased an old farmhouse ~1700s, and have removed the existing lino / carpet to reveal flagstones in most of the downstairs, including the kitchen. The problem is they really absorb grease etc.
What is the best product to put on the flagstones so that they are easy to clean, but at the same time keeps them breathable as I don't want to end up with damp problems.

The stone floor cleaner is more powerful than ordinary cleaners. The sealer is primarily made of linseed oil (so breathable), which will stop stains from penetrating and there's a wax to go on top which purports to be non-slip.

You'll need a few coats of the sealer in all probability.

Raw linseed oil from Holkhams - a few coats and wipe up what doesn't soak in.

Then wash/mop occasionally with Ecover floor wash (contains linseed also), and maybe an annual application of linseed oil.

Works a treat here and looks great.
