Screed floor question

I have just had finished a library in a room with a screed floor. Before the (fat) joiner started work the floor was fine. Now I notice that a hairline crack in the floor is "crunching" when I walk near it.

I am not sure whether the constant walking about by a sixteen stone bloke has identified a problem, or if dust has been brushed into a crack and I am hearing the crunching of grit. Whatever, it is a bit late to re-lay the floor.

Any ideas anyone please?

I am tempted to re-lay the carpet and forget it.

Hmm - the average screed should withstand the footfall, however unsubtle, of a bloke weighing a lot more than 16 stone.
How thick is it (the floor, not the bloke!), and what lies beneath?

Not sure how thick or what is underneath. It's not easy to tell.

I have two options it seems - ignore it, or find a way of repairing it.

Manks - do I understand correctly that you hear a crunching noise when you step near the crack? If so, I wonder whether this could indicate some slight movement of the concrete slab on one or other side of the crack.
