Scaffolders are really quite good at their job; however, they lost credibility in my eyes when I was told that they weren't coming to do the scaffolding for my extension because it was "too wet" (it was a gentle October shower which passed in 30 minutes). Then they were coming "first thing" the next morning and turned up at 9.10am. However that was so hard that they needed a break and didn't unload the first pole until 9.55! :evil:

Don't get me wrong: the fees are scandalous….

I was a bit surprised because she's a friend of mine and her and her husband knew all about it, in fact they were the people who had told us about the problem that needed fixing and recommended the roof/ chimney person as he had done theirs. Turns out the scaffolders had got slightly the wrong address and she woke up at a bit after 7 to find people swarming outside with poles boards etc. The situation was compounded by the rental agent not having informed the tenants, despite being told what was happening and being asked to. Sigh, we laugh about it now, just lucky she wasn't on holiday.......
