It will pale into insignificance when I publish my seminal work on the c20th conversion and use of redundant white ceramic sinks by the application of hypertufa, and the major shift in garden design enabled by Geoffrey Hamilton's BBC programmes showing how to do this. The alternative 'two cardborad box' method will be explored in depth also, as will the modern 'foldaway crate' type.

I am considering a gazeteer of extant examples, and detailing the varieties of materials used, PVA versus Evostik as a base...

I'm more of a Monty Don "roughly sink-shaped hole in the earth" man myself. Although I concede to a single cardboard box as a casting core.

OK, Someone had to ask...

I am familiar with the "two box technique" and the "single box and hole technique" but can you give more details on the use of old ceramic sinks - simply covering them with hypertufa or something more cunning?

Or do we have to wait until Amazon stocks the seminal work?!
