Please excuse this late notice.
If you have nothing planned (or even if you have) then I suggest you pop along to Copped Hall on Saturday afternoon. It is just outside Epping (it is the mansion you can see on the north of M25 as you come out of the tunnel coming from M11).
The New Redbridge Wind Orchestra (of which I am a member) are playing a concert this Saturday (24th) starting at 2pm. It is in the grounds of Copped Hall, Epping and the idea is you bring a picnic and sit in good weather (we hope) and listed to some good music (we hope!). The music will be a mix of band pieces, light classical, music from the shows, etc. I believe the grounds of Copped Hall and parts the public can access will be open and it is certainly worth a visit.
Entrance is £10 on the gate (money raised goes to further works on the house and grounds) – with concessions I believe. Access is via the entrance gates between the lodges on the Upshire Road from the main Epping Road (see the Copped Hall web site for directions).
The web site for Copped Hall is: http://www.coppedhalltrust.org.uk/.
I was involved in the early days of the project and it is a fantastic site and inspiration to what can be done by a group of determined people.
Look forward to seeing some of you there.
Regards
