Hello all
Can someone help me get my head around this.
We have a external wall that needs its window replaced.
The current wall is in the outbuilding and this will become part of the kitchen.
Building regs say that it needs to be stud walled and insulated to 100mm.
My question is a want to put in a timber sash window that looks out onto the garden and to keep it looking right.
My question is should I have the window make to include the 112mm inside bit so the new wall is flush and the architrave can go on or should I get the sash built in normally on the internal brick and then once the stud wall is installed I can then pack out the window with timber so it's flush with the plasterboard.
What is the best way to go about this.
My second question is how much is a timber sash window that is made to look something like the originals, I could get one on eBay that will look great too that is double glazed and maybe cheaper.
Cheers all if needed I can post a picture
