sash window removal

We have had one of four sash windows renovated professionally using the crocodile clip system to simplify the removal of the sashes for decorating. However we are concerned about carrying on with the other three windows as within days three of the sash cords had disconnected themselves from the sleeve of the clip. Has anyone else had this problem. It is a cheaper alternative to the Ventrolla system but we have lost confidence in it.

it is a simple system using a cord clutch to stop the cord disappearing and a metal clip attacked to the end of the sash cord which is hooked on to a screw in the side of the sashes - there is then no need to nail the cords hence the easy removal
