Runners for Georgian folding dividing doors

Hi
I am renovating an old Georgian property - we have large original folding doors which divide the two living spaces.Currently the doors drag and I would like to buy some kind of wheel or runners that enable the doors to be used smoothly. There is a steel track which the runners must follow which protects the floorboards.
I am having real trouble locating the right kind of runners or wheels that will work with this door. Does anyone have any advice?

Is there a corresponding track in the top of the door frame header? Those I have seen hang in the track above to combat the doors weight and prevent it contacting the floor. The lower track merely guides the return to the desired resting position.

I think the tracks are only for locking the door once in place but I will check - thanks

We have large “wedding doors” between drawing and withdrawing rooms. They move easily just hung from 3 big hinges ( not visible in this picture ). Have yours dropped a bit and that’s why they‘re not running freely? If you have to take down anyway to get underneath then maybe upgrade hinges too if necessary. We don’t have anything like your metal track in the floor, it’s unclear if ours are original original or just a very good replication of what should have been there.

That is a most interesting and wonderful fudge I have never seen in lieu of making the door hang correctly in the first place.

Maybe a quality unidirectional roller ball? You often find a massive difference between industrial and average eastern made items, both may be made in the east but some are rated for hundreds of kilos and hard use.

When faced with similar on a straight track I bought a selection of heavy duty industrial castors from an industrial castor company and adjusted them to fit, your local B&Q is unlikely to have anything and stuff on amazon or ebay may or may not work if super low quality, you often have to buy a bunch of stuff and experiment, kind of expensive.
