Retro electric radiators

HI...looking for any experience that other members might have had. I'm looking for electric radiators (actually for my house in France) but we don't particularly want plain modern ones. We've seen there are plenty of manufacturers/sellers of old-style radiators with electric elements fitted...and of course most are very expensive. I was wondering if anyone had bought anything like this, what your experiences were - and if you managed to find something stylish, effective AND reasonably priced!

These guys do a modern take on a period electric radiator:

I bought a dual-fuel 'period' bathroom radiator from them: http://www.geyser.co.uk/amesbury-traditional-towel-warmer-p-479.html (you may recognise the bathroom in the photo!)..

Very straightforward company to deal with, arrived on time, well packed as expected etc.

Dual Fuel radiator suffered the common problems of being water filled / kettling plus needed me to remember to turn off one of the CH valves whenever we used it in electric mode.

I wouldn't have any hesitation in ordering from them again in the future.

I looked at the Paladin radiators and found I preferred a re-conditioned old one to their new castings (and finishes) - we got one from http://www.salvagedoctor.com/cast-iron-radiators/ in the end and I'm very happy with it.

But these things certainly aren't cheap whichever route you go...

Ours is plumbed into a conventional wet system but it would have been simple(r) to have it stand alone with a suitable electric element.
The electrical elements are a 'standard' product and fit any radiator - old or new...
