I know this is a bit nerdy, but check out our before and after pics of our slate hangings once lovingly restored. Only another 200 odd square metres to go...

Why, you have to wonder, were they ever painted in the first place!

Well, we were quoted a sum in excess of £20 k to re-hang, which, like most people, we can't afford, so anyone with something better to do than spend a year slowly sorting them out themselves would just give'em a lick of paint and leave them for the next poor sucker I guess.
