Hi all
After The storm deluge the other day I realised its about time I repointed some brickwork around my window ledge, all good but while I'm there I really ought to remove that spalled brick and turn it around, which means removing some of that external window sealant (see photo). Is it wise to cut a small strip of that sealant out at the bottom there and reapply fresh or am I going to have to redo the whole frame? Is the join between the new and the old going to be sound? The window is fairly well sat back and protected from the elements (when the guttering works!).
Also my concrete ledges have a few minor cracks, whats the best stuff to use to fill? Some people say epoxy mortar from a gun.
