repairs to lime plaster on stone walls/wood lintels

I need to order readymix lime plaster have it delivered tomorrow do the repairs over the weekend and be able to paper over the repairs within a week is this possible ?

The alternative is to cut plasterboard to size fix with adhesive and skim with finish.

I'd prefer the limeplaster but I have a tight schedule

Depends what you're repairing. If it's just cracks and holes in skim, no problem, but if you've gone back to the laths, then no.
But why the frantic rush? Isn't it worth doing the job properly rather than bodging?

Hi the decorators wanted to skim over the loose sections and cracks I call that bodging.
I want to section out the cracks and debonded sections.

I have till next weekend when wife and son get back fom hols. Son cant tolerate dust.

Is there a problem using wallboard to replace the debonded sections ?

How quick does limeplaster go hard enough to stop powdering as I will wait for papering if we arent getting dust off the wall

Lime isn't at all powdery - it goes on very wet and carbonates with contact with air. The process begins immediately and takes a day ot three to start to really harden, and how long after that before it's fully cured and dry depends on many variables. It's not a process to be rushed however, as it can crack. No powder involved at all.

I have found I may need to replaster whole walls so need a contractor asap
I have found mike wye on this website for materials I now need a plasterer who can use lime to do the work next week
