Removing plasterers scrim off floorboards

Somebody used it to stick carpet down.

I have tried turps, scrubbing and sanding to no avail.

Any other ideas of how to get rid?

Are you sure it is plaster scrim ? This stuff -

If so, it isn't sticky in itself, so it would depend what glue they used with it.

The more modern versions are slightly sticky, but not enough to stick a carpet down or to be any problems with removal. Are you sure it isn't double sided carpet tape you have found?

Yep, that is what it is - I wonder if they did use glue as well.
Whatever it is, it is stuck fast.
