removing paint from stone

What can I use to remove the paint from my outside stone window ledge - it seems to have been painted with the gloss white on the window frames and there looks to be many years' worth of it. Such a shame - only on the downstairs window.

You could try good old Nitromors (from most hardware shops) which will strip a lot of paint types, or you could contact Strippers of Sudbury, who are the dog's wotsits of paint stripping.
hey do a paste called Klingstrip which I've used to get 150 years of paint from stone window sills. They may not be able to provide a small enough quantity for just one sill, however, so it would be best to talk it over with them.
