Hi all,
Please can you help! I've recently moved into a detached Victorian house dating from about 1870 and have some damp problems on the first floor bedrooms
The surveyor informed that the damp problems are due to the exterior walls having been coated in a textured wall paint (a past owner even had it put on the drain pipes etc!).
I need to get this damn stuff off and have any cracks in the render repaired. The surveyor advises that this can only be achieved with a needle gun, however, generally speaking the render on the house is in good condition and I don't want to damage it if I can avoid it.
Surely there must be a way of removing this with a chemical stripper? Has anyone here had experience of removing this stuff?
Many thanks for your help.
Steve
