I am looking for a wall mounted victorian sink, the type with the lovely cast iron brackets. Does anyone have any recommendations for online salvage sites?
I've had most success from a combination of Ebay and patience! You can set up email alerts so you get an email every morning showing what new things have been posted up that contain keywords that you specify, which is useful. Over 10 years I've gathered enough bits to reinstate all my fireplaces - it's taken that long as I wanted a specific make, model and certain sizes only, to replicate what was in the house originally.
Salvo is worth a look, although it's mostly building materials:-
2 minutes later and my Ebay email fireplace search came through with something which may interest you. I've got it set to "Biclam", which was the foundry that made my fireplaces, but sometimes it produces links to other cast iron items.
This one came up today - I know it says cistern brackets but that looks like a sink frame to me! I'm no expert mind......
Drummonds used to specialise in reclaimed bathroom fixtures,

but it seems they've now gone into manufacturing.
Nice, if one is happy to spend the money.

The difficulty, as they comment, is finding original pieces in decent condition. I bought a basin at MASCO a few years ago, but it's a bit tatty. Hmmm.
Where are you? I can suggest several places to try in Norfolk. Or ask a local builder where they take 'old stuff' to sell when they pull it out of houses. Local auctions can be good especially architectural salvage auctions.
Though mostly I use ebay searches and patience too. It takes far less time and requires so much less running around. It is definitely buyer beware so inspect pictures carefully and try to buy locally so you can look before parting with cash. Cash on collection seems to suit most sellers
Ivor that is lovely stuff but way out of our price range.
Livias I am in South Yorkshire so Norfolk is probably a bit far. We are a bit pushed for time as need to get a working bathroom sorted before the end of Jan so I might have to put some repro bits in and do some ebay stalking to replace them at a later date. Will probably check some local salvage places first.
