Recipe for a cream coloured lime wash?

I am trying to create a cream coloured lime wash. I've been advised to add a yellow ochre pigment to my white lime wash but this comes up with a peachy like colour. Does anyone have any tips please?

Try some chalk , i use it and it comes up a nice off white.

Yellow ochre is certainly the obvious choice. Maybe try a yellow ochre from a different source?
I've used a little clay-rich earth to reduce the brightness of limewash. You just have to experiment till you find the shade you like, remembering it looks different when wet to dry.
