I WAS AT THIS SCHOOL FOR TWO PERIODS OF TIME WHEN IT WAS RUN BY NUNS, I LAST VISITED THE SCHOOL IN 1993, BUT IT HAD BEEN SOLD.
I MET WITH SISTER PETER ANTHONY AT THAT TIME, SHE REMBERED ME, TODAY I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA AND HAVE DONE SO SINCE 1965, BUT I STILL HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF THE SCHOOL.

I am researching the history of the garden at Holland House, Kingsgate and the surrounding estate of Henry Fox, 1st Lord Holland who built the original building which was eventually to become Port Regis, Kingsgate, Kent. May I suggest that the article in 'Archaeologia Cantiana', the journal of the Kent Archaeological Society, Volume LXXI (1957) pp. 1-13 by Ronald Jessup F.S.A. would be the best starting point for your researches. This Port Regis is not to be confused with the boarding school in Dorset of the same name.

Sorry to contradict you Anne, but the Port Regis school in Dorset did in fact start out at the house in Kent and then moved. Port Regis is now a retirement home for fragile elderly, and has some of the most brilliant follies in the grounds. I went with the Folly Fellowship about 3 years ago.
