Re-claimation yards and stained glass

Just wondering if anyone has any re-claimation yard recommendations? I am midlands based but happy to travel. Currently looking for an interior door with stained glass insert, any help / advice appreciated.

Hello Nathan. I know a couple of reclamation yards in the Black country, but there seem to be quite a few good stained glass restorers around. I used a very good person called Esther Naylor. There is also a stained glass restorer on my road but she was too busy when I needed wqork done. They may have good leads or migh even have something that you might like. Bear in mind that panels from reclamation yards will often need to be re leaded which might cost as much as the panel. I got a large door panel re leaded an it was around £300, and I think that was quite cheap, so it may be more economical to buy one that is already restored.

If you have the door, our stained glass guy is highly recommended. The place goes back multiple generations, so there's a great deal of expertise there. They do restorations as well as new commissions.

As for getting a "new" door, there are three places in Hull I go to:
1. Kevin's - As seen on Salvage Hunters, its a gold mine of doors, furniture, lights, and a huge range of curiosities. I recommend anyone go there just to have a look around, as its a unique place. I spent many Saturday mornings of my childhood (in the 70s) exploring the rooms when the building belonged to my families business, so it has special memories for me, but when Drew Pritchard went, he commented how special Kevin's stock is.

2. Waterloo Antiques - Quite a few doors, and other antiques.

3. David Smith - Does door dipping, and does well. Good selection of antique doors and fireplaces, but not much else. Top bloke though. Phone before you go.

Yes, inspiration but not purchase at those prices! And everything is "AMAZING", "EXCEPTIONAL", "RARE" or "STUNNING"... Worryingly, I didn't see any on the first four pages (when I gave up) that had any sort of provenance.

I have a door with panel that I salvaged, but the panel needs quite some repair, would that be interesting to you. The panel should look like this, but it has been damaged in the centre. I'll take a photo if interested but it is in a covered alleyway at the mo. I am in Birmingham, but could even deliver somewhere close as I work near Southam.
