As well as everything else, the pointing continues and the scaffolding's just gone up on the gable end ...it's going to be a long tedious summer! The point all needs re-doing around the coping stones but i've also noticed that there are a couple that a loose (i can wobble them). I'm thinking of removing the loose stones and re-bedding using the same NHL3.5 lime mortar i'm pointing in. Any advice on how best to bed them in? Is it just a case of cleaning out thoroughly, then laying a couple cm of mortar and plonking the stone ontop?
