Re-attaching wires to stone extenal wall?

Just popping out of long lurkiness with a question - some of you may remember that we took the pebbledash off the front of the house - we need to re-attach some cables to the stone wall - I've been looking for some sort of strap/cable tidy/not sure that would be appropriate, but so far I am drawing a blank - can anyone help?

Welcome out of lurkiness. Is the mortar hard enough that you can drill into it successfully? I take it you wouldn't want to drill the stone? Would it hold a plug? If it would, you could either use normal plugs and screws, with p-clips - let me see if google will furnish a picture... a-ha:

In the latter case, the pin plugs are smaller than normal plugs, you use a 5mm masonry bit, and they give the cable clips something to grip into.
Both the p-clips and the cable clips come in different colours and sizes.
The second alternative would be cheaper, as p-clips can be pricey.

The type of cable ties you can use depends to some extent on the type/size/length of the cable/s in question.
However I imagine your wall is not flat (as brickwork is) and ordinary clips and ties will usually pull the cable tight to the wall and cause the cable to bend and not look good.
Why don't you make some ties yourself?
I suggest brass screws with copper wire twisted onto them.
The copper wire may be obtained from old cable with or without its insulation.
(Black, blue, red or brown insulation may look better than plain copper and gives a softer grip.)
The wire should be twisted around the screw at the mid point of the wire leaving the two ends to twist around the cable you have to attach in a way that looks tidy and neat.
The size of the brass screws should be appropriate for the wall with roundheads preferably.
