Raw Linseed oil?

Hi, You might have noticed by all the questions, that i'm in the middle of restoring a sash window...thanks for everyone's help. Before painting with Holkham Linseed Paint, i'm going to treat the wood with Raw linseed oil. I've just seen this at my local hardware store considerably cheaper (1/4 price) of the Holkham product. Does anyone know if there's any difference? Will it do the job?

I've always used Holkhams, and always been very happy with it.
If you search through the forums you'll find this question has been posed many times, the end answer is always Holkhams is the best, if you can afford it use it. Something to do with the preparation, it being boiled or something and being totally pure. I'm afraid I asked the same question some 4 years back, and can't quite remember the details

The most expensive paint is cheap paint.

I suspect the same goes for linseed oil. We often hear bad tales about the performance of linseed oil and it always seems connected to oil that did not come from Sweden via Holkhams.

Even at their prices it's still pretty cheap stuff.
