railings and pier caps

Following the "design by committee" results and consultation with CO and Engliish Heritage, I am looking for someone who can make railings like the ones in the picture. I have spoken to a couple of blacksmiths who do period railings, but they don't do this kind.

I am also looking for a supplier of pier caps similar to the ones in the photo.

What's 'not to do' about the railings? They seem to be pretty simple. Any blacksmith worth his salt should be able to do them.

Same with the caps. Any stonemason should be able to do these with ease.

I agree with Jaqy.

Blacksmiths who are knocking out a standard range of products may not be prepared to produce "specials" like this, but a jobbing blacksmith should be happy to make them for you.

Ditto with stonemasons.

I would recommend looking at http://www.fhbrundle.com/iron.htm you should find everything you need in kit form just leaving it to be assembled and bent to a curve by a blacksmith. They will only deal with the trade but your blacksmith you choose should be able to purchase from them. Pages and pages of bits look all the way through and it should be sucessful.
