A quick query related to roofing on an old victorian property:
It has a lean-to extension containing the kitchen. The exterior wall has always been rendered, with a bellcast just above the tiles where the render stops.
The leading and bellcast was replaced recently - and the lead flashing was run up behind the bellcast rather than being chased into the wall iteslf.
How much (or should) I be worried about this? The roofer is adamant this is fine, since the bellcast is covered in render and there is no route for water to get behind the flashing.
Given the state/age of the brickwork, and the fact there was no pre-existing chase, I think he was nervous about cutting a brand new chase (and the legacy flashing wasn't in one either)
