Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
There's a Traditional Building Skills & Craft Fair being held at Corfe Castle in Dorset on Sat 16th and Sun 17th Sept. It is billed as "an event that brings together craftspeople, specialists conservation professionals and suppliers of traditional building materials" (I understand that even a slater is putting a display on!).
It is all being run by the National Trust who are also hosting two hands-on courses at around the same time; Fri 15th is devoted to "Conservation in Action" looking behind the scenes with architects, surveyors and archaeologists, while Sat 16th concentrates on the use of conventional lime mortars.
