Period virgins (my partner and I) have taken on an Edwardian property that is stuck in the seventies. He represents function, I favour form so we should make a good team! Downstairs, the carpets were taken up and the floorboards sanded (don't ask) - upstairs I hope to avoid this. I have been reading on here about OSMO products and Danish oil. Can anyone tell me if these products are sufficient in high traffic areas (downstairs) without anything else and as we now have mismatch in colour (downstairs/upstairs) is there any point applying stain downstairs or will I just end up with a fake "look". I have heard of tea being used? Any thoughts much appreciated.
