Saw an old Grand Designs last night. In France. They pressure sprayed the external lime render on, still looked good 8 years later.
Anyone any experience of this?
That is how they applied the render to my daughter's end of terrace. It looks fantastic and seems to be wearing well. Makes a terrible mess whilst working though.
They troweled the first layers flat, then scored the surface ready for the next coats. The final finish is left rough and has a harled appearance rather than pebbledash.
It goes on super fast and I think it must stick better as chucking it hard at the wall is recommended on some videos we have from Mike Wye.
Oh, how I wish that were true! But you and I have met, 'Marm, so unless you have a portrait in the attic I think you're being ridiculously and unnecessarily kind to me, and/or hard on yourself!
