Please, what is the difference between :

New Posts;

New Posts [popular], and

New Posts [locked] ?

I think 'popular' ones are threads thast have had more than 10 replies.

And 'locked' means that they are no longer open to further postings. The moderators have locked them.

Sorry - I've just found them, right at the bottom of the forum topic list. I wondered what all those blobs were about!

I reckon "popular" topics are probably ones that I've contributed to. :wink:

But what the hell are "sticky" ones?!

Sticky topics get pinned to the top of the forum, so they stick there regardless of when the last post to that topic was

The Announcement: Rules and Regulation thread is a sticky because admin want it to stay at the top for everyone to see all the time.

Locked threads are ones that you can no longer post to because Admin doesn't want you to. I don't think we have any of those (yet).

Thanks for all the patient explanations. That's one of the wonderful things about this site - the kindness and understanding shown to those of us who are a bit 'challenged' in some way.

Some are challenged in one way - some in another. Whereas I struggle bravely through a whole host of challenges and inadequacies. And I'm in constant pain.

But I never talk about it.
