I would like to publicly thank Dave and Ted at Ingilby Mariners for making all the lime wash and linseed paint to decorate "Mrs Chris's" new baby girls room, she was born at Addenbrookes in Cambridge on Monday morning and all are well.

She will love a VOC paint free bedroom (all we have to do now is stop the planes overhead and she may have a chance) and enjoy a chemical free start in life. All the furniture (all recycled from neighbors) was rubbed down and painted with their nice Linseed paint and the walls were filled with lime and then painted in off white lime wash

Congratulations - that's a beautiful, environmentally friendly room with plenty of character. No doubt the baby will be likewise. I couldn't help noticing that your location states Essex, but she was born in Cambridgeshire. Is there still a stigma attached to being an Essex girl then?

The nursery looks fab - but a little blue... not caught out by the scan were you? We were, but in the opposite direction. Fortunately we'd gone yellow!

I am an Essex boy so easy on!!!!!

We had the choice but Addenbrookes is nearer than Harlow (looks better on passport) so I am sticking with that reason!

Real reason is wife worked in Cambridge so was easy for tests etc

Funny that but the photo does not show it is much more green than it looks. I am just glad I did not do pink - the house is now full of it. We even had pink ribbons tied on the doors and parking bay for a coming home surprise.

The linseed oil barn paint for my garage also came from Ingilby Mariner.
