Periodproperty buffs on Facebook?

After hearing on the wireless last week that my generation (I am rapidly approaching 50) is in danger of completely loosing touch with the younger people who will shortly be taking over the world, I have launched myself on Facebook, much to the amusement of my children. I am finding it rather a lonely place, but I am pleased to say that I now have three friends, if I am allowed to include my sister and brother in law. Any other periodproperty buffs out there?

BUT when used to do lots of searches for old friends etc, I managed to find a friend who emigrated to NZ by looking up his children on there.

I'm with Gareth; the novelty wore off soon after I realised I'd spent an hour sending fish, poking, answering film quizzes, and having my wall written on, while the window frame in the playroom remained unpainted. It was useful for organising a small class reunion though.

I cant Find Jocelyn or Biff and there are about 370 Gareth Hugheses. There are also 37 Nigel Wattses. In the unlikely event that anyone wants to find me I am the grumpy old git staring over the top of my glasses into my PC's camera.

On reflection, I'm not sure that Arsebook wouldn't be a lot more interesting. Think of the fun we could have guessing who's who.

A lot of it wears thin quickly, but as I have friends and family scattered over the globe it can be useful in keeping in touch. And if like me you enjoy the odd game of Scrabble (when her indoors doesn't) it can be quite addictive.

We could form a PPUK group, but looking at other groups we perhaps would have to make it members only - otherwise you could get every Tom Dick & Harry posting a causing a nuisance ...... a bit like here realy! :wink:

Agreed, the novelty soon palls - but it's a useful way of reminding yourself just how irritating those former colleagues used to be.
There's only one of me there (thanks to my parents' pretension!).
