Period window furniture supplier?

Hello,

Whilst replacing a rotten dormer window, I need new window furniture - the stuff off the old window being both tatty & modern.

I've managed to get some decent casement stays & a casement fastener with little problem, but I also need 2 small necked brass barrel bolts, which I'm struggling to find - all that I've found that looks suitably period are bolts that are intended for doors, which would too big & chunky on what is a small window.

The only small ( 2 - 3") necked bolts I can find are cheap modern ones, which look quite naff - any ideas where I can find anything any better? Something quite plain is what I'm after, nothing too ornate.

I am not exactly sure what a 'barrel bolt' is, but if it is for keeping a window secure you might try http://www.houseofbrass.co.uk as they have a vast stock of interesting bits and bobs and do a speedy mail order. We have used them several times for those things that aren't stocked locally.

Walcot reclamation sell some v nice rep brass fasteners, etc.

Frank Allart also make a lot.

Get them in unlacquered polished brass and they'll look so much nicer.
