Period update

Hi Folks, Sorry, have been really quiet recently! Having managed to complete the re paint and repair of exterior window sills , front door ( man who can), and repainted the front hall (me) we then had to say goodbye to our 14 year old Labrador, whom some you have met!) I had just re dug the herbaceuous border and split some of the plants ready for next year when we found a lovely black labrador puppy, who is now in residence! So much for completing the last of the house stuff, and thank goodness I had not obtained several bags of well rotted horse manure for the flower bed, otherwise we would have been in a mess! So, life goes on, training, training, training, forget the paint brushes and I might as well have not dug over the flower bed, it's been done for me, again!

Oh, enjoy the new family member Joss, sure you will. Sad to see your beloved old Lab go but I'm sure you gave a long and happy life.

And well done on all the painting and gardening - what colour did you go for in the end?

What was the puppy doing in the herbaceous border? :wink: This is why we leave the garden to itself.... we have enough animals already without digging up new ones! Are dogs like daffodils and grow from bulbs?

Joce, thank you--- hall colour was good old reliable R o J Buttermilk, front door is blue green. Sills just simply repaired and repainted in black with the window frames tidied up in their original boring magnolia which we inherited when we bought!
