Relative newcomer (2009) robgil has just displaced the author of the longest thread (Graham's Top Tips) skier-hughes (2006). It was somewhat underhand of Rob to strike just when he knew that Graham was otherwise indisposed in his bathroom these past few weeks. :wink:

You have to wonder what sort of a fulfilling life Penners would have been able to lead, had he not been so incapacitated by his bad back that all he could spend his time doing was posting here 6.33 times per day! 8)

today I am going to attemp some linseed oil painting outside, between showers adn hope it dries enough before the threatened rain over the next 4 days

Though I do need to venture into the shed to find the linseed soal to top up my inside bottle ready for cleaning the brushes and hands.....

Well the shed doesn't appear to hold the linseed soap, anyone know where I've put it?
I did come across some ready mixed washer fluid, so I've topped up both cars.
Now to search the dining room and kitchen.

Alex has just been to open his business bank account and come back with cream cakes, so for elevensies I've had an apple and raspberry turnover.
Still not found the soap, spent so much time on it now that
a. It's rainign so cannot paint
b. would have been cheaper and quicker to paint and throw away brush, walk up to the shops and buy new brush!

It says something that despite not posting on here for what must be at least a year, Evelyn (Nemesis) is still at number 2! (And no, that's not meant to provoke a new debate or rekindle any old ones about the rights or wrongs of her exit from the forum - that's been done to death already).

So where will we be in a year or so from now? My bet is Penners will still wear the crown, with JoceandChris as his second-in-command. Feltwell will have slipped out to the ranks of the lowly also-rans.

Ohh actually, maybe not now I've done the sums. Joce you've got to average at least 12.12 posts per day to overtake Nemesis within a year - come on girl, get typing!!
