Period skip find cushion

This cushion was chucked out by the posh Land Lady (or Bog Eyed Rent Monster as my Mum called her...) where we used to live about 30 years ago.
Does anyone know anything about the design? Any budding textile fans out there? It's cut velvet and slightly tapers, so pretty sure it once fitted snugly as part of a chair. Would be nice to find a chair to go with it

I would hazard a guess that it might be from something Anglo Indian? The design has that influence about it to my eye, I would err towards that rather than English "Arts & Crafts"

Thanks for the suggestion - a poke around the seams shows it was once a much brighter colbalt blue. I'm just curious about it and love the design!

It's very nice, I agree with LadyA and think it's 1960s or 70s.

Don't immerse in water!
